The DM-8 features a robust rack system that is not only durable, but also looks great when you perform! INDEPENDENT 12-INCH SNARE DRUM The DM-8 snare pad authentically emulates the behaviors of a real acoustic snare drum thanks to its rim and shell design. The triple zone allows you to play convincing rim shots and cross sticks while adapting to the needs of most playing situations, from rock/funk to Latin, and the cross stick is ideal for ballads or bossa nova. The snare drum uses the latest three-zone trigger technology, which makes the sound of each position on the head more balanced. A highly stable independent snare stand is also included, for optimal performance. A NEW 10-INCH BASS DRUM The new independent 10-inch bass drum can support a double pedal. The new bass drum pedal features a double chain and a thicker sole. The double chain makes the beat more stable, while the thicker sole prevents the pedal from moving freely. FADER The new DM-8 sound module is packed with innovations and attractive features, including faders, which assign audio levels to each individual pad. Easily create your own custom drum mixes! 30 sets of high-fidelity drum kits in different styles are also included. No matter what drumming style you play, you can get the sounds you want. The intuitive and powerful sound customization features allow users to freely edit their own drum kits. You can assign any sound to the rim or head of the drum. USB AUDIO I/O The DM-8 module is also an audio interface, capable of sending stereo audio and MIDI data to a Mac or Windows computer via USB. This lets you record discrete audio and MIDI drum tracks into any recording software, or trigger sounds from software drum instruments for studio or live performance. Want to record more than one stereo pair? No problem. You can record up to 14 separate audio tracks into your favorite recording software. IMPORT YOUR SAMPLES The DM-8 lets you import your own WAV samples via USB. Now you can build your dream kit with your favorite samples and assign them to any pad for playing. Think of the possibilities! EFFECTS Want to further customize your drum sounds? The DM-8 includes a selection of high-quality effects that can be applied to each pad. Simply navigate to the EFFECT menu and select the desired effect. Add EQ, compression, overdrive, or reverb to individual pads, or add compression and/or master EQ to your overall mix. JAM AND RECORD The DM-8 has a wide selection of built-in songs to jam with, including a dynamic variety of musical styles for all types of drummers. Practice makes perfect! Record your solo performances to a USB drive or download your favorite backing track, play along, and save it as a WAV file to analyze your playing by listening to the full mix. Finally, an AUX IN port is provided to connect your favorite playback device and create a solid mix between your backing tracks and your playing.
